Time Trialing

About Time Trialling

Time trialling is the simplest of competitive formats: a race against the clock, with riders starting a minute apart. It’s known as the ‘race of truth’ because there’s nowhere to hide, no one to draft behind; just you and the bike and the thumping of your heart. Oh, and a clock ticking.

Time Trialling with BWCC

We run a series of Time Trials locally over the summer months for club members with extra club kudos for the series winner! Club members compete in the popular North of Scotland Time Trial series run by NoSCA and at the end of the summer season, we run a hillclimb up the Dochcarty Brae behind Dingwall as a finale to this. This is basically a short Time Trial up a ridiculously steep hill and a fun challenge open to all local clubs! See “Events” page for the latest NoSCA race calendar with entry though the British Cycling website and keep an eye on our Facebook page for what’s happening with club TTs.
